John, we have an urgent update:
For months, Missouri Republicans have been fighting to redraw congressional district lines to favor their chances to win more seats in 2022. After a contentious battle in the state legislature, the new redistricting plan has been finalized.
Cori will officially run to represent Missouri’s First District again – a community made up of mostly Black and brown families.
Republicans in Missouri tried their hardest to rig the congressional map — but our campaign is gearing up to organize in every corner of Missouri’s First and make sure our message for bold, anti-racist change reaches every voter.
All of our organizing work to make sure the voices of Black and brown families are heard this election is powered by grassroots supporters like you, John. Will you chip in $5 or anything you can right now to help fund our voter outreach efforts and overcome all of the GOP’s attempts to suppress our voices?
As the first Black woman elected to represent Missouri in Congress, as the first activist from the movement in defense of Black lives elected to Congress, as an organizer, a pastor, a nurse, and a mom — Cori is no stranger to a fight.
John, we’ve overcome big challenges before, and with your help, this won’t be an exception. Together, we defeated a 20-year incumbent in 2020. But we only won that race by 3 points so we need this entire team to step up to prepare for whatever the GOP throws our way.
Between redistricting, attacks from FOX News and the far-right, and Democratic primary challengers, it’s going to take all of us to protect this seat for Cori and our movementi. Can you donate to support Cori’s re-election campaign today?
In solidarity,
Team Cori
