I graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in 1986.

That same summer, a movie called Top Gun came out. Maybe you’ve heard of it.

Before I was a Navy pilot, before I was an astronaut, before I was a senator, I was just a kid in a theater, same as everybody else. And it was pretty cool.

Now, this month, a new Top Gun is coming out. And I wanted to do something fun for it.

So here’s how this works: If you donate any amount — $1, $5, $10 — at the link below, you’ll automatically be entered into a contest.

The prize is two tickets to see Top Gun Maverick with me!

Here are the details: I’ll cover your snacks. I’m personally a popcorn guy.

We’ll also figure out how to get you to and from the theater, and if you’re from out of town we’ll make sure you have a place to stay.
