MAY 2022 NEWS ROUNDUP
The GOP is on a fiery – and expensive – path to taking away our constitutional rights, not just in our Groundwork Project Partner states, but across the country.
We’re already six months in to this election year and political systems are unfortunately working exactly how many of them were set up to be – discriminatory, oppressive and forcing folks on the margins further out.
But in the face of all this, there’s a lot of great work happening on the ground!
Our team is more committed than ever to our mission of sending resources to organizers on the ground in our partner states. Especially in times like these, we know that sustained, year-round investment in local community organizers is the best way to remedy injustice, build power in historically excluded communities, and make long term political change possible.
That’s why on top of sending the essential resources our grantee partners need in Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma and West Virginia, Groundwork Project aims to send mini-grants to additional organizations we love within our partner states.
Can we count on you to give $50 today so we can send more local organizations the resources to grow and keep up the fight? Help us raise $50,000 by midnight Tuesday (our budgeting deadline) so we can send our next round of mini-grants to organizations on the ground!

The GOP is making it clear that they have one goal: control over bodily autonomy, leaving no exceptions for victims of rape or incest unless they file a report to law enforcement. The new legislation bans abortion care after only 6 weeks (just 2 weeks after missing a normal menstrual cycle!)
