Hey Friend, what does community look like to you in District of Columbia?

I live in Colorado and for me, it means coming together with other leaders around the country in UWDA’s The Squad and fighting for permanent protections for ALL immigrants. Listen to my full story here:

In the video, I talk about the lasting impact The Squad has had on my life: from demanding a pathway to citizenship, to defunding ICE & CBP, and creating safe spaces to be our true selves.

My nieces, nephews, and my community all deserve to thrive without our immigration status being a barrier. So, I joined the Squad to fight to win the protections that will allow us to thrive.
