Do you know what that number means, team?

It might look random, but it’s one that means a lot to our team. It’s the number of grassroots donors who have stepped up to support my reelection campaign by giving to emails like this one.

I’m really proud of that number, team. Because in a race that will no doubt be close, every single donation counts. Now this is a number that worries me. Last quarter, Mitch McConnell’s super PAC reported that they raised $27 million and have over $72.3 million in the bank – money that will go straight to attacking me and other Democrats in tough Senate races.

Just last week, the national Senate arm of the Republican Party announced a $9 million ad buy against me.

$72.3 million is a lot, and taking on the GOP’s corporate special interests can sometimes feel like David versus Goliath. But this grassroots team has always stepped up when we need it most. So please, will you donate $3, or whatever you can, right now to win this crucial Senate race?
