We’re facing a real Black maternal mortality crisis in our nation. Black women are three times more likely to die of pregnancy-related causes than white women. |
Rather than covering it up like GOP Senator Bill Cassidy suggested, we must address the root causes and fix the underlying problems, like access to maternal health care. Overturning Roe v. Wade will worsen maternal mortality most severely for women of color.
