EXPOSE THE TRUTH |
Dear Karen,
Released under the Freedom of Information Act, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has made its inspector reports publicly available for the first time.
We’ve gained access to the reports, and this is what’s clear: these findings will blow the lid off the secrets of the brutal chicken slaughter industry. Today, I want to share the details with you.
I’ve read each of the eye-witness accounts from USDA inspectors, and they’re deeply incriminating. Across the US, observers documented live birds being thrown, crushed, suffocated, and boiled alive. I shudder to imagine what must be going on when nobody is watching.
Thousands of chickens each year endure the horrific slaughter process while fully conscious.
We can end this.
READ THE REPORT |
Karen, because you’re a dedicated animal advocate fighting to end the abuse animals face in our food system, I know these findings may not come as a surprise to you. And certainly, the report confirms the worst of our fears.
But it also arms us with something profound: undeniable proof. Proof that these are not isolated incidents. And proof that this industry is in dire need of systemic change.
Change is possible. Parts of this industry have already shifted away from live-shackle slaughter—a brutal, outdated practice. We urgently need to pressure those who still profit from this abuse to change their ways, too.
You and I have the power to call out the companies directly tied to this abuse and inspire countless more caring individuals to get involved in our work to end extreme animal cruelty.

Thank you for lending your voice in defense of chickens.
