Dear John,
With full stomachs from yesterday's
Thanksgiving meal, it's hard to imagine how starkly different
this weekend can feel when you're a child who doesn't get
enough to eat. For hungry boys and girls, a four-day holiday can
mean four days of hunger.
Take the young boy Sara Jackson, a teacher
in Washington, D.C., saw standing alone in the school parking lot the
first morning after Thanksgiving break, for example . He'd walked
across town at first light because
he was so famished he couldn't wait for
the school day to start.
Little boys like this one are the reason
we'll be there Monday morning with a healthy, filling nutritious
breakfast.
Will you be there with us?
Make a special gift to No Kid Hungry right now.

John, too many children
in our country struggle just like that boy. Millions of kids rely on
school meals. They spend their holiday breaks, with tummies growling,
just waiting to go back.
Your donation will help fill the plates of
hungry children nationwide and ensure they get the food they need
throughout the year.
Sara saw this young student and was thankful
he could count on getting the food he needed at school, even though he
didn't get enough at home. John, today I am
so thankful for generous friends like you, who will share the joy of
the season with children in need.
