The statewide voter guide has been mailed to voters, and one of the first questions people ask is why is Mark Meuser on my ballot twice?
When Kamala Harris resigned her U.S. Senate seat to become Vice President, Gavin Newsom appointed her successor. However, that appointment is only valid until the next election day. Thus, voters will be voting for Mark Meuser twice. They can vote for him once for the partial term to finish out Kamala Harris’ six-year term, and they can vote for him a second time for the full term that begins next January.
At the recent CAGOP Convention, over 71% of the CAGOP delegates voted to endorse Mark Meuser for U.S. Senate. The CAGOP encourages all California voters to vote twice for Mark Meuser!
