The Washington Post: Nearly 200 Republicans vote against bill to ease baby formula shortage
|
Team,
Last week House Republicans proved once again that they don’t care about what the people of our country actually need, by voting against a bill that will provide emergency funding to address the baby formula shortage crisis. I hope you’ll let us share our thoughts, but if you're already with us, can you chip in to help us fight back?
When House Republicans overwhelmingly voted against the Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, they proved their callous disregard for the well-being of the most vulnerable people in our society. A party that would band together to act against a piece of legislation meant to keep infants from going hungry, is a party that cannot be allowed to run our country, for the sake of the health and well-being of our people.
Actions like this show why it’s critical that we maintain our Democratic Majority. Will you help protect our Democratic Majority by giving $5, $25, or whatever you can afford right now?
