Greetings Comrade,

Akron DSA is off to a busy summer. On Sunday, we hosted a successful rally in front of the federal courthouse, protesting the anti-LGBTQ+ and racist bills coming from the Ohio Statehouse and the fall of Roe v Wade at the federal level and the trigger bills proposed in Ohio. We got a great write-up in the Akron Beacon Journal.

On Wednesday, at 7p on Zoom, we have the May General Meeting. We’ll be discussing how our recent events went and what we have coming up.

June 7 – Abortion in Ohio. Join Pro-Choice Ohio and Akron DSA for a short presentation regarding what’s happening with SCOTUS, what’s next for abortion access, how you can get more involved, and then some Q+A!

June 11 – Stark Co Pride. Akron DSA is sponsoring the first Stark County Pride and we need your help tabling. We will be there from 3-7p, and even if you can hang out at the table for 30 minutes, we'd love to see you!

June 22 – June General Meeting

June 26 – Rubber Ducks Game social (tickets available soon)

August 27 - Akron Pride! We will be tabling and marching. We'll be in touch soon about marching and tabling.
