Dear John,   Having been involved in local government since 2016 when I first started as a city council member for the city of Whitehall. I have long since worked for positive change in Columbus and surrounding areas. I now feel that the time has come for me to seek elected office once again. I want to bring fresh ideas and positive solutions to the United States House of Representatives by running to represent the 3rd congressional district of Ohio.    As you know, I have always been very concerned about issues such as the skyrocketing costs of prescription medication in the United States. I believe there are workable solutions available that will help reduce the cost of medication not only to those in 3rd congressional district of Ohio, but throughout the United States. I would like to see the United States have the ability to negotiate the prices of medication with the pharmaceutical companies. I have battled with an autoimmune disorder almost my entire life, I know firsthand how pharmaceutical companies price gauge the American people.     Another prominent issue I am making part of my agenda is to push for term limits for representatives of the federal government. We currently have representatives that have been in the House of Representatives for multiple decades. We can no longer allow individuals to treat these positions as lucrative jobs. We need to find a common ground between both parties and implement term limits for members of congress. In order for our country to move forward, and the wheels of democracy to keep turning, we must allow for new and fresh ideas to be brought to the congressional body.    In order to serve the people of the 3rd congressional district of Ohio, I must conduct an aggressive campaign. My opponent is the epitome of a career politician, serving in the House of Representatives for a decade, with little to show for it. My opponent has gone unchallenged and is sponsored by major corporations, no longer a voice for the people, but a voice for the highest bidder. For these reasons, I feel that I must step forward and offer the voters of this district a choice, a choice for a new vision.    For this campaign to be successful, it will require a strong and organized grassroots campaign. We are already knocking on doors, attending local events, making phone calls, and regularly meeting with voters. With brochures, flyers, yard signs, social media advertisements to place, and multiple areas to canvas, I cannot do this alone. That is why I am turning to the people who know me best and inviting them to get involved in my campaign and help make a difference.     Your contribution to the Stahley for Congress campaign will give our race a tremendous boost.
