Fight for $15

John,

I walked out so I don't get walked all over.

It's not enough that McDonald's pays me a poverty wage -- now, they're messing with my schedule. They told me I'd have 8 hours, and then only let me work one. How is anyone supposed to make ends meet when you are only getting a fraction of a day's pay?

That's why myself and my coworkers walked off my job on the South Side of Chicago. But on Thursday, McDonald's shareholders are getting together a few miles north to divvy up billions in profit while they try to keep workers like us down.

We're DONE with McDonald's paying poverty wages, with their union busting, threatening and intimidating workers about their immigration status, and with wage theft. Are you with me? Share this video of our walkout >> [[link removed]]

So far this year, McDonald's profits are up nearly 12%. Their CEO got paid $20 million. He told his investors that the “arches have shown brightly.”

I've got news for him: workers like me made you those profits. It's our exploited labor that made you richer.

That's why I went on strike: we're fighting for our rights, for a livable wage, for the right to a union that will protect us. For dignity. For respect.

The strikes won't stop -- share in solidarity with workers demanding better >> [[link removed]]

In solidarity,
