John, from her first day in office, Mayor Lightfoot and her administration began working with State officials to secure the legislative approval to build the City’s first-ever casino -- a project in the making for more than 30 years.

Now, as Chicago emerges from the pandemic with a strong focus on a sustainable economic recovery, a Chicago casino could soon become a reality!

By helping the city shore up pension funds for our police and firefighters, and creating thousands of good-paying jobs, the benefits of this new development will be felt right away and for generations to come.
