CNN: DeSantis-appointed judge signals Florida’s congressional map is unconstitutional for diminishing Black representation. Help us fight gerrymandering all over the country >>> [link removed]

We’ll let Politico explain:

“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ bid to remake the state’s congressional map was dealt a major setback… after a state judge said he would block the plan because of the way it scattered Black voters among several north Florida districts.

DeSantis personally pushed the GOP-led Legislature to approve the map, which boosts the number of Republican-held seats in the nation’s third-largest state. The map also dismantles the north Florida district held by Rep. Al Lawson (D-Fla.), a Black Democrat.”

This was a personal blow for DeSantis, one of the nation’s worst map manipulators.

But we can’t declare victory just yet. Florida’s First District Court of Appeals just reinstated a stay that has put the DeSantis map back into effect for now.

We have to stay vigilant and we have to keep fighting everywhere Republicans have gerrymandered, in and out of court and all across the country.
