Well, it’s time to add Russia to the list of countries I’m banned from — all for standing up for human rights:

I‘ve called for the United States to join the International Criminal Court and investigate the staggering evidence that Vladimir Putin and Russian forces have committed war crimes in Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Ministry responded by banning me from Russia.

I’m not the only public official on the ban list — but notably missing are Donald Trump, Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, and the majority of Trump’s former cabinet. That is, people who have a history of refusing to hold Putin accountable.

I will always speak up against war crimes — no matter who commits them or who tries to silence me.
