Regional Parks and Trails Public Art Plan

An artist, curator or artist team will work with 4Culture and King County Parks to develop an art plan for King County Parks’ extensive network of parks, regional and backcountry trails, and open spaces in collaboration with the unique communities they connect to throughout King County, WA.

Deadline: May 31, 2022 by 4:00 PM PDT
Budget: $75,000 [inclusive of artist fee and applicable taxes].
Eligibility: Open to artists and curators, working independently or as a team, who reside in the United States or British Columbia and have preliminary planning experience in arts-related work with a focus on equity and social justice. Candidates with preliminary planning experience are strongly encouraged to apply as a team as we support the growth and development of emerging artists and curators.

Five Mile Creek Pathway Trailhub Public Art Project

Deadline: June 3, 2022
Budget: $50,000
Eligibility: Artists who are 18 years or older are eligible to respond. This project is open to applicants regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or disability. Teams of artists, designers, and/or engineers are welcome to apply. Treasure Valley and Northwest area artists are encouraged to apply.

Oregon Arts Commission

RFQ: Portland State University, Vernier Science Center

Deadline: June 6, 2022
Budget: $365,000 for multiple commissions. Commission amounts may range from $20,000 to $200,000.
Eligibility: Artists and artist teams who reside in the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Alaska and Hawaii; and/or attended PSU, are eligible to apply. PSU alumni, emerging artists and artists from traditionally excluded or underrepresented communities, including communities of color, are especially encouraged to apply. Artists with current contracts through Oregon’s Percent for Art in Public Places program are not eligible.

RFQ | WA Capitol Campus Newhouse Project

Deadline: June 14, 2022
Budget: $245,000, inclusive of design ($25,000) and all costs related to fabrication and installation, including sales tax and contingency.
Eligibility: You must be an established artist residing in the United States or British Columbia. Washington State artists and those with a deep connection to the state are strongly encouraged to apply. Neither ArtsWA nor DES discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, national origin, age, ancestry, disability, or gender identity. DES staff and artists with current ArtsWA public art contracts are ineligible.

RFP: Sammamish Outdoor Art Piece “Celebrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”

Budget: $50,000
Eligibility: This call is open to established practicing artists residing in Washington State and have experience in medium scale public art installation. Local Washington State artists with sculpture abilities, but without medium scale public art installation experience, are still encouraged to apply. Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

RFQ: 2D & 3D Public Artworks for Frostburg State University, Education & Health Sciences Center

Deadline: June 29, 2022
Budget: $210,000
Eligibility: All professional artists or artist teams living in the United States may apply. If artists apply as a team, the team should be listed on the application, specifying a team leader to receive notifications. Artists currently enrolled in a university or college degree program are not eligible to apply. Employees of Frostburg State University, the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Maryland State Arts Council are not eligible to apply.

City of SeaTac Utility Art Box Program

Budget: Artists will receive up to $1000 for successful submissions. • $400, 1 piece of art selected • $700, 2 pieces of artwork selected • $1000, 3 pieces of artwork selected
Eligibility: Applicants must live in Washington State. Community groups or student groups can apply. Applicants cannot be a member of the SeaTac Arts, Culture and Library Advisory Committee or an employee of the City of SeaTac.
