Did you see our opponent’s Fox 4 TV interview this weekend?
Reminding us once again that she doesn’t care what voters think, Amanda Adkins made it clear she’s ready to BAN all access to abortion in the state, supporting not only overturning Roe v. Wade , but a statewide abortion ban EVEN in cases of rape or incest.
By and large, the voters support access to reproductive healthcare. The reason Amanda Adkins can blatantly disregard your opinions is that she’s counting on her wealthy family to sweep in and buy this race for her. We have to fight back and prove her wrong.
Our May budget deadline — the first since we learned Roe is going to be overturned — is in just one week. Let’s be clear: all Kansans have the right to bodily autonomy and the freedom to make their own choices, but this decision would affect the most vulnerable by forcing working class people to make tough decisions to receive the healthcare services they need.
Amanda Adkins doesn’t care that a total-abortion ban would make the lives of many people in our district harder. She’s in this race to score petty political points and this interview shows she’s doubling down.
