Friend --
Florida's waterways are under attack. Will you help us
protect them?
Human health is inextricably tied to the health of our
waterways. As calls for serious attention to public health impacts
from harmful algae blooms continue to rise, we need water management
that prioritizes human health and safety sooner than later.
This year, our affiliate organization Friends of the Everglades
worked with Bullsugar.org to lead the effort driving the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers' development of a new Lake Okeechobee System
Operating Manual that would protect public health and safety and
improve the management of Lake Okeechobee.
We've made great progress this year but the fight is not over
and your support will make it possible to continue this work in
2020.
You have a chance to support an incredible giving
opportunity!
Beginning today (Black Friday) - December 31st, our partners at
Patagonia will MATCH all donations given to Friends
of the Everglades DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR when made through their Patagonia Action Works profile page.
How does the donation match work?
- Donations must be submitted through their Patagonia Action Works profile to receive
the match.
- A limit of $10,000 will apply to each individual donation.
- Patagonia will cover credit card processing fees, so Friends of
the Everglades will get the entire donation and the matching
amount.
- Matching funds are limited so please don't wait!
