Donate once, make twice the difference

Cuts to legal aid have left people all over the country without any form of legal support. Liberty’s legal advice service is a lifeline for anyone unable to find or afford a lawyer. And now every donation you’re able to make towards it during the Big Give Christmas Challenge will be doubled!

From noon on Tuesday 3 December, all donations made to the Civil Liberties Trust (our charitable arm) through TheBigGive.org.uk will be matched by four generous law firms* and the Reed Foundation for one whole week.

The decimation of legal aid has created a two-tier system where justice is reserved only for those who can afford it. 

But our Advice and Information service provides free, impartial human rights legal advice to tens of thousands of people every year, empowering them to take action if their own rights – or those of their loved ones and communities – are threatened.

Every pound you donate will help us to expand and improve our service. We need to raise £17,500 in just one week to hit our overall target of £35,000. Anything you can afford will make a huge difference to our work. We’ll be back in touch on Monday 3 December to let you know when the Big Give Christmas Challenge has launched so you don’t miss out on having your donation doubled with no extra cost to you.
