Dear John,
This is an incredibly important week for the Boundary Waters.

Tomorrow afternoon, lawmakers in Washington D.C. will begin debate on Rep. McCollum's bill to permanently protect American public lands near the Wilderness from sulfide-ore copper mining.
In light of this crucial moment for the Boundary Waters, generous supporters from our Walter Mondale Legacy Fund have pledged a $15,000 match. This means that [[link removed]] when you make a contribution up to $15,000 [[link removed]] between today and midnight on Wednesday, May 25th, it will be DOUBLED.

Help us make this Boundary Waters bill into law and reach our goal by doubling your impact. This matching offer expires in 48 hours, so be sure to make your gift today! [[link removed]]

DOUBLE MY GIFT: [link removed]

“Even with the best of designs and best efforts, spills and leaks happen. Mining occurs in the natural environment, not in a controlled factory. These risks are only further exacerbated in the wet environment and uniquely interconnected hydrogeology of the Superior National Forest and Boundary Waters.”

- Tom Tidwell, the Chief of the U.S. Forest Service from 2009-2017 in an article for Duluth News Tribune, May 23, 2022. Mr. Tidwell is scheduled to testify this week in committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Our team is all-systems-go, from placing timely commentaries in the Minnesota press, working with partners to set up a news conference here in northern Minnesota, lining up in D.C. to testify before committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, and much more.
Your support has fueled the movement to this historic opportunity. Ensure we have the resources to see it through by making a gift today. [[link removed]]
Chilean mining giant Antofagasta has the resources to pour millions into pushing this dangerous mine forward. But, with your support, we can make history and protect this wild and beautiful place forever.
DOUBLE MY GIFT [[link removed]]
