I’m a pediatrician, a state legislator, and the daughter of hard-working immigrants from Mexico. It’s hard to understate just how big the consequences of this election will be. As someone who provides critical care to pregnant teens and young women, I know how important it is for every American to be able to make decisions about their own bodies and futures.

My Republican opponent, on the other hand, hopes to turn back the clock on the ability of women to make their own reproductive health care decisions, by banning not just all abortions, but IVF and birth control as well.
