According to a recent analysis, if you tallied up all the unvaccinated people who lost their lives to COVID after vaccines were available to all adults, it would total around 319,000.

This is a heartbreaking metric given those deaths were preventable – and the spread of vaccine misinformation is largely to blame.

Studies like these are a sobering reminder of how essential it is we take action to fight misinformation. The consequences of inaction are real and lasting, and at the George Washington Initiative, we’re doing something about it.
