Today, it was my honor to file to run for reelection.

In the tradition of strong Minnesota attorneys general, it’s my job to help Minnesotans afford their lives and live with dignity, safety, and respect, especially when they have nowhere else to turn for help. That's what I've done and will continue to do when we win in November.

I'm proud of the progress we made over the past three and a half years, but the truth is, it's fragile. There are powerful special interests aligned with my GOP opponents who want to restrict our right to vote, take away the right to choose, and enrich corporate profits at the expense of working families. 

We had the closest statewide race in Minnesota in 2018, and facing the uphill battle of a midterm election where our party holds the White House, the coming months will be even tougher.

That's why I can't overstate how critical our Tuesday, May 31 public reporting deadline is. After we file our report, our year-to-date fundraising numbers will be made public for the first time since I officially filed for reelection, giving our opponents, pundits, and everyone watching this race an inside look at the strength of our campaign. 

To prove that we’re ready to win in November, we set a $50,000 grassroots goal – but if we don’t pick up the pace, we’re going to come up short. With just eight days to go, we’re less than halfway to our target.

John, can I count on you to help us make up the difference? Chip in $10, $25, $50 – whatever works best for you – by our May 31 public fundraising deadline so we can make an undeniable statement about the strength of our campaign.
