We have to fight like hell for a woman’s right to choose. We cannot turn the clock back 50 years. Now that the highest court in our country is failing us, we need to make our voices heard as loud as possible.

It’s all the more urgent when I hear my opponent compare abortion to genocide.
If Roe v. Wade were overturned, Wisconsin would revert to having an archaic 173-year-old law that pre-dates a woman’s right to vote, and abortion would be considered illegal, criminalizing nearly all abortions. It’s just not right.
Just last week, we saw the GOP-majority Oklahoma state legislature pass a law banning abortions from the moment of fertilization.
We cannot let this stand. This is an emergency, not just for women but also for their families, and for all of us. It’s an incredible blow to decades of hard work from fierce women who experienced great suffering to ensure that the women who came after them would be in charge of their own bodies.
