I was born and raised on a small family farm in Nambé, New Mexico. My father was a union ironworker and my mother a public school employee.

They instilled in me the values of hard work and community service from a young age.

That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to improving the lives of New Mexicans through public service — fighting to create good-paying jobs, increasing access to quality, affordable health care, tackling inflation and rising costs, and protecting our state’s natural resources and treasured public lands.

I’m focused on the future, but right now, it seems like the GOP is focused entirely on taking us back. They are working to roll back the hard-fought right to an abortion, passing bills making it harder for people to make their voices heard at the ballot box, and banning books that teach our children the values of diversity and equity.
