Hi John – Emily here, Elaine’s Finance Director.
Planning ahead is critical for a campaign – there are so many variables to account for when running for office. How should we adjust our campaign strategy after redistricting? Who will our opponent be? Who is going to back our opponent and donate to their campaign?
As Finance Director, I need to make sure that our campaign is well-equipped for anything – Republican fundraising hauls, GOP Super PAC-funded attack ads, and everything in between.
And to do that, I need to make sure we’re hitting all of our fundraising goals.
Will you chip in $25 or more to Elaine’s campaign today? This is our last fundraising deadline before the primary election, and right now we’re behind.

Planning ahead and hitting our fundraising goals can pay back in dividends.
If our fundraising numbers are strong, it allows us to experiment with our campaign strategy and reach out to new voters who were added to VA-02 during the redistricting process.
If our fundraising numbers are strong, we can be assured that we have the resources to continue our campaign strategy AND fight back against the Republican attacks that have already begun and will continue to surface. We wouldn’t want to have to sacrifice one for the other due to poor fundraising hauls.
So, John, what do you say – will you chip in $25 or more today to help us reach our May goal and plan ahead for the rest of the campaign?
