You can Grab a Cab to get your Covid jab

We?re still encouraging as many people as possible to get their Covid-19 vaccination and we want to do everything we can to ensure people in our city are protected from the virus. Some people have told us that the cost of travel to the vaccination centres is an issue for them, so we have teamed up with DG Cars in Nottingham to offer free taxi travel to and from the local sites.

Jabs are now available for everyone (from children aged five and up). Whether it?s a first, second jab or booster, you can book a day, time and venue for your vaccination here: [link removed] [ [link removed] ].

Once you have your appointment, you can arrange your free transport by:

* Calling DG Cars on 01159 500500
* Asking to book a taxi on the ?GRAB A CAB? account
* Quoting code: CC22

This is a wait-and-return service to and from the vaccination centre and the offer is only available to Nottingham city residents. Please do everything you can to continue to protect yourself from the virus.

Vaisakhi parade

Vaisakhi

It was a pleasure to see Sikhs in Nottingham celebrate Vaisakhi with a colourful procession called Nagar Kirtan yesterday. The procession, which has taken place in the city for more than 30 years, returned on Sunday after a Covid-induced three-year gap. People took to the streets to celebrate the formation of the Khalsa Panth, faith and identity.

Good luck to Notts County

NCFC badge

Good luck to Notts County this evening as they take on Grimsby Town at Meadow Lane in the National League quarter-final play-off.

It?s been a great season with both our Nottingham clubs doing so well in their respective divisions, and we wish Head Coach Ian Burchnall, his staff and players all the very best as they take another step back to the Football League.
