Claudia Zapata (TX-21) - Claudia is running to replace Republican extremist Chip Roy. Roy made headlines last week when he voted against a bill that would help families access baby formula. He also happens to be an avid supporter of the most draconian anti-choice legislation. If she wins, Claudia would be the first woman to ever fill this seat in Congress.

Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) - Jessica Cisneros, a Texas-based human rights lawyer, is running against incumbent Henry Cuellar – the only anti-choice Democrat left in the U.S. House of Representatives. Cueller is an anti-choice, anti-labor, pro-NRA Democrat who voted with Donald Trump and the Republicans almost 70% of the time.

As you may have heard, yesterday Oklahoma passed the strictest abortion bill we’ve seen yet: banning abortions at conception and enlisting private citizens to sue abortion providers who “knowingly” perform or induce an abortion “on a pregnant woman.”

Between this bill, the Texas “heartbeat bill”, and the Supreme Court’s intentions to overturn Roe v. Wade, the women in our country are running out of places to turn. We need pro-choice champions at every level of our government.

Jessica Cisneros, a Texas-based human rights lawyer, is running against incumbent Henry Cuellar – the only anti-choice Democrat left in the U.S. House of Representatives. Despite his anti-choice record, we are disappointed and outraged to report that he has support from House Democratic leadership.

Claudia Zapata’s opponent, Republican extremist Chip Roy, has made it clear where he stands on reproductive rights. An avid supporter of the Heartbeat Bill, Roy made headlines yesterday when he voted against a bill that would help families on federal assistance access more formula brand options. This vote perfectly illustrates the hypocrisy of the right’s attacks on reproductive care.

It’s unconscionable that Roy and these other men in the GOP call themselves “pro-life” while voting against a bill that would ease the baby formula shortage. We must remove them from office and replace them with pro-choice champions.
