The 2024 election could be decided tomorrow.

But that was a mind-boggling sentence, so I’m going to say it one more time: The 2024 election could be decided tomorrow.

How? Well, take a look at Georgia. Tomorrow is Election Day in the Republican primary race for secretary of state.

On one hand, we have Brad Raffensperger, who you’ll remember as the Georgia election official who stood up to Donald Trump and refused to “find” the votes he’d need to win the state in 2020.

On the other, there’s Jody Hice -- a congressman who conspired with Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert to pressure Mike Pence into overturning the 2020 election results. Jody Hice, of course, is endorsed by Donald Trump.

Now imagine about two and a half years from now, a close presidential election in which Georgia’s 16 electoral votes could be decisive. In the office overseeing vote counting and certification, we have Trump’s pal Jody, ready and willing to “find” the votes.

This future is avoidable. But only if we take real action in the next six months to prevent these Trump cronies from winning elections, because this exact same playbook is being run in battleground states across the country. The American SOS Project is my plan to fight back with everything we’ve got -- so please, pitch in whatever you can to support this work right now:

Look, I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow in Georgia. I do know that we’ll be ready to jump into overdrive if Hice wins the primary. And we know that it’s not the only state in which Trump’s actively trying to rig the next election. Our job is to fight back  in every state and every race we can -- and we can’t slow down until we stop Trump.

Thank you for being on this team.

Amy
