If you’re still in the district I’m running to represent, reply back and let me know! And if you’re not, let me know that, too.
While these changes to district boundaries may be confusing, I want you to know that if you currently live in the district I represent, I will continue to represent you until the end of the year. My promise to you and to everyone in our district is to continue to fight for the southern Brooklyn communities that sent me to Albany on their behalf.
The district lines may have changed, but what isn’t going to change one bit is my commitment to fight for a New York that is fair, safe, and gives everyone an opportunity to thrive. The neighborhoods in the 26th District need a fighter who knows how to get things done in Albany and work together with our communities to solve our shared challenges.
Now that the lines are final, our campaign will be busy at work getting ready to run in a new district. And because of the late changes to the Congressional and State Senate maps, this year our primary won’t be held on June 28 as it usually would, but August 23.
That means that in the next few months we’ll be spending a lot of time, effort, and resources campaigning in new neighborhoods of the district I hope to represent next year. New doors to knock. New voters to call. New constituents to connect with. And we still don’t know yet if we’ll face either a primary opponent, a general election opponent, or both.
That’s why I need your help more than ever. Help me go back to Albany so I can keep fighting for Brooklyn and keep doing the work we started together.
