John — let me tell you about Josh’s GOP opponent Doug Mastriano, and what his “vision” for Pennsylvania is if he gets elected.

In sum: Mastriano’s far too dangerous and extreme to lead Pennsylvania, and he’s planning a right-wing policy takeover for the Commonwealth. But before I lay out his stances, can you donate $5 to help defeat Mastriano at the ballot box?

Mastriano called Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — who made it harder for Floridians to vote, attacked vaccines, and is using the government to punish critics — an “amateur.”

He’s not even kidding — Mastriano is the most extreme Republican nominee for Governor in the entire nation.

He made it his top priority to pass one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country — saying there should be zero exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother. He even said that if he was elected Governor, he’d make abortion a crime and throw doctors in jail for performing them.

He wants to outlaw no-excuse mail-in voting and conduct even more investigations into non-existent voter fraud. Mastriano also wants to gut workers’ rights to organize, slash wages for blue-collar workers, and oppose efforts to raise the minimum wage from $7.25.

Doug Mastriano cares more about inflaming far-right culture wars than addressing the biggest issues facing Pennsylvanians today, and even Republicans think he’s too extreme for Pennsylvania.

I can assure you that Josh Shapiro would be the opposite — he’d protect abortion, defend our democracy, help work families get ahead, and ensure all of our rights are protected.

There are two very different versions of Pennsylvania laid out in front of voters this fall — and I need your help, John, to make sure that we choose the one that moves Pennsylvania forward. Can you donate now to our Defenders of Democracy Fund to make sure we defeat Mastriano and his extreme stances?
