This Thursday, May 26th, at 7pm, I will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall
titled “Skyrocketing Utility Costs: Why Is My Con Ed Bill So High?” Experts
from the Public Utility Law Project will explain how your Con Edison bill
is calculated, why prices are surging, what your rights are as a utility
customer, as well as options for people in utility arrears.

Wondering why your utility bill recently went up so much? Experts at the
Public Utility Law Project explain how your Con Edison bill is calculated,
why prices are surging, what your rights are as a utility customer, as well
as options for people in utility arrears.



The Virtual Town Hall will feature:

- *Richard A. Berkley*, Esq., Executive Director of the Public Utility Law
Project (PULP)

- *Laurie Wheelock*, Esq., Deputy General Counsel and Deputy Director of
the Public Utility Law Project (PULP)



You will have the *option of joining the event online through Zoom*, a
webinar hosting service.


You will also have the *option to view the event online through Facebook*.
Please note that *you do not need a Facebook account or profile* to view
the event through Facebook.

If you do not have access to a computer, tablet, or other electronic
device,* you
can listen in by telephone*.



**Once you register for the event, you will receive a confirmation email
with the Zoom and Facebook links, and the call-in information.**

The event will feature *a question and answer session *with Richard Berkley
and Laurie Wheelock. If you have questions about why your utility bill is
surging, and what you can do about future increases, you should attend the
May 26th Virtual Town Hall. Attendees will be able to submit questions
through Zoom and Facebook during the event but are strongly encouraged to
submit them in advance.
