{FirstName or 'Hello'}},

Well, this has never happened before. We set a goal to raise $100,000 before midnight tonight to help Admiral Mike Franken defeat Chuck Grassley – but with less than 24 hours to go until our deadline, it looks like we are going to miss our goal and fall short.

This is a pretty big setback, but we can’t give up, not if we want to turn Iowa blue. So for the first time ever, we’ve decided to lower our fundraising goal from $100,000 to $75,000.

The polls show Mike Franken can defeat Chuck Grassley. And the pundits say we must . If we turn Iowa blue, Democrats are guaranteed to hold onto our Democratic majority in the Senate.

With time running out, we still need to raise another $17,825 to hit our new lowered goal in order to win. But the only way we’ll hit this new goal and defeat Chuck Grassley is if grassroots donors like you give right now:

Please, will you chip in $5 or more right now – every dollar you can afford before midnight tonight – to help Admiral Mike Franken defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate? [[link removed]]
