Check out the latest from NYGOP Volume 60 | May 22nd, 2022 This Week at the NYGOP Follow Us On Social Media! Dear Friend, It's official! We finally have fair maps and justice has been served to Kathy Hochul, New York Democrats, and Nancy Pelosi whose desperate attempts to cheat and rig elections in New York have been stopped dead in their tracks. The road to a majority in the House and taking the gavel away from Pelosi leads directly through New York and while Republicans continue to surge, the Democrats are ramping up their attacks... on each other! The New York Democrat Party is in complete disarray with crises consuming our nation and our state. New Yorkers face historically high gas and grocery prices and a critical shortage of baby formula. What exactly are Joe Biden and Kathy Hochul doing about it? Biden shut down more gas drilling and American energy expansion and Hochul is focused on shady backroom deals and driving division. Every day New Yorkers are sick of the excuses and demanding action. More than ever, New Yorkers feel unsafe in their own communities as killers and crooks run wild. Another horrific story gripped the headlines this week about an 11-year-old girl crying for her life as she was gunned down on New York City streets. Hochul and the Democrats tried to dupe New Yorkers into thinking they fixed bail reform, but our streets are just as dangerous and the criminals are just as emboldened. We have been saying a red wave is coming, but you don't have to take our word for it. Even MSNBC's polling shows that Democrats and their leaders face abysmal numbers on job performance and approval. Joe Biden has plummeted to a stunning 26% approval among Hispanic Americans and it is not much better among all Americans. It proves that our common-sense Republican message is resonating and people are ready to deliver big change on Election Day. But, it's critical that we don't let up until the polls close. With your continued support, we will continue to ramp up our efforts to ensure we save our nation and our state from the disastrous one-Party Democrat rule. Sincerely, Nick Langworthy NYGOP Chairman The #BidenGasHike Is Out of Control! Another week of unbelievable record-breaking gas prices as the #BidenGasHike grips the nation. While NY Republicans offer solutions to lower prices, NY Democrats block them. This is why we must break up one-Party Democrat rule! Candidate Of The Week Paul Rodriguez Candidate for New York State Comptroller Website Facebook Twitter Instagram Donate I am running for State Comptroller because I love New York. I want to make the empire state more affordable for hardworking taxpayers and the financial climate business-friendly. New York is facing a deep fiscal and economic crisis. Too many people are living paycheck-to-paycheck with very little savings in reserve. Businesses that once thrived in our state and provided well-paying jobs, stability, and a good standard of living to New Yorkers have left due to high taxation, an erosion of services, and a decline in public safety. The once-thriving middle-class is now burdened with a high cost of living exacerbated by an increasingly bloated and over-intrusive government. And while these problems existed before the pandemic, they are now worse. Regardless of your zip code, many New Yorkers are forced to live in crime-ridden neighborhoods due to the progressive policies that have overtaken the Democrat Party. But it doesn't have to be this way. I have a vision of a common-sense New York and will use the power of the office to be a champion for taxpayers and protect their hard-earned money through real government accountability, exposing major corruption, and greater transparency. NYGOP Must See News: ‘Justice served’: NY Dems forced to fight each other for survival after gerrymander redo New York Post State Republican Party chairman Nick Langworthy exulted at the new lines, which were drawn by Cervas after New York’s highest court ruled that Democratic lawmakers violated terms of a 2014 constitutional amendment to remove politics from the redistricting process that follows the US Census. “Justice has been served and will be again in November when Kathy Hochul and the Democrats pay the price with voters for trying to rig the election with their illegal Hochulmander,” Langworthy said in a prepared statement. “All we’ve wanted are fair maps because unlike the Democrats, we know we can compete and win on the merits with our strong candidates and our agenda to save America and New York from the dumpster fire of their one-Party rule.” Read Full Here Zeldin wants NY to reinstate death penalty after Buffalo shooting Auburn Pub In the aftermath of a racist mass shooting that killed 10 and injured three at a Buffalo supermarket, Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin thinks it's time for New York to bring back the death penalty. Zeldin released a statement on Sunday calling on Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, and the state Legislature to reinstate the death penalty. He proposes making certain crimes eligible for the death penalty, including fatal hate crimes, killing police officers and other first responders, and homicides involving multiple victims. "A simple Saturday afternoon at the local supermarket should never end in violence, tragedy and death," Zeldin said. "Across our state, streets, subways, businesses and homes have been turned over to criminals. Yesterday's Buffalo tragedy was a brutal reminder of the raw, violent hate on the rise in NY. "Asian Americans have been killed in NYC with knives, hands, and hammers. Three Jews were assaulted this past week in Brooklyn. Sikhs have been beaten up. None of it is welcome here, in any form, and those who commit fatal hate crimes, acts of terrorism, and other extreme violence should be brought to justice, and in some of these cases, the only fitting form of justice is the death penalty." According to New York’s former gov, Kathy Hochul is ”vulnerable” and that the Empire State needs an injection of new political blood. Pataki also said that Gov. Kathy Hochul is ”vulnerable” and that the Empire State needs an injection of new political blood. “For the first time in [a long] time, I think the Republicans really have an excellent chance. … The state is going in the wrong direction. I don’t think there’s anybody who doubts it. Crime is out of control. People are leaving the state. The schools are beginning to fall apart,” he told Catsimatidis. “The time is right for an argument that you need to change the state’s direction. The second thing is that … we have a weak governor. Andrew Cuomo was forced out in disgrace creating this void. Governor Hochul then made a terrible mistake in picking the wrong person for lieutenant governor. That’s an absolute shambles,” Pataki added. Read Full Here Fearing ‘Extinction-Level Event,’ N.Y. Democrats Turn Against Each Other New York Times So on Monday, when the courts finally unveiled a proposed new slate of districts unwinding Democrats’ gerrymander, Mr. Maloney, the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, knew precisely what to do. Just 25 minutes after the maps’ release, Mr. Maloney announced on Twitter that he would leave behind the bulk of his traditional Hudson Valley seat and run instead for a newly drawn 17th Congressional District rooted in Westchester County. Mr. Maloney lives within the new lines, which happen to offer a safer path for a Democrat than the district he currently represents. What might have seemed like an easy political decision for Mr. Maloney, however, has quickly turned into a political firestorm, replete with racial overtones, off-the-record recriminations and rare breaches of congressional decorum between staff of neighboring colleagues. Some Democrats saw the maneuver as an attempt to box out Representative Mondaire Jones, a first-term congressman who represents the vast majority of the district’s population, and force him to enter a primary against Jamaal Bowman, a fellow Black progressive, in the neighboring 16th District. Mr. Jones made no secret of his own feelings, though he has yet to say which Democrat he will challenge. “Sean Patrick Maloney did not even give me a heads-up before he went on Twitter to make that announcement,” Mr. Jones tersely told Politico on Monday. “And I think that tells you everything you need to know about Sean Patrick Maloney.” Read Full Here Biden's Hispanic approval ratings plummets to 26% in new poll Fox News President Biden's approval rating among Hispanic Americans has plummeted to 26%, according to a Wednesday poll from Quinnipiac University.
