This weekend, Minnesotans from every corner of the state gathered in Rochester at the 2022 DFL State Convention to endorse the statewide ticket that's going to keep Minnesota blue this November.
We endorsed Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, who are leading Minnesota forward with integrity and courage, by ensuring our kids get a world-class education, expanding economic opportunity for all, and protecting the health and safety of Minnesotans.
We endorsed Attorney General Keith Ellison, who is living up to his promise to fight for all Minnesotans as the People's Lawyer by standing up to price-gouging drug companies and predatory opioid manufacturers, defending access to abortion, and the Affordable Care Act, and protecting seniors from fraud and abuse.
We endorsed Secretary of State Steve Simon, who is fearlessly defending the voting rights of all Minnesotans at a time when our democracy is under unprecedented attack by a Republican Party that has fully-embraced Donald Trump's Big Lie.
We endorsed State Auditor Julie Blaha, who is ensuring every Minnesotan in every corner of the state gets the services they deserve by empowering and supporting local governments, cracking down on officials who misuse taxpayer dollars, and protecting Minnesotan's freedom to make decisions in their own communities.
John, no state in the country has a stronger slate of leaders at the helm of our Democratic Party and our movement. But make no mistake: We have a hard fight ahead of us in the coming months.
Republicans see this midterm election as their best chance to flip Minnesota red in decades. And as they continue to wage their coordinated assault on our democracy, reproductive freedom, voting rights, and so much more, the stakes truly couldn't be higher.
