Hello,

I’m Julie, the campaign manager for Admiral Mike Franken’s campaign here in Iowa against Chuck Grassley.

As you probably know, the early polls show we're in for a very close race this November. Grassley’s approval ratings are the lowest they’ve ever been. But Mitch McConnell’s Super PACs are raising tens of millions of dollars to spend attacking Mike. If we’re going to finally send Grassley packing this November, it’s critical we be up on the air now – before they start drowning us out in TV ads.

It's so important that I authorized starting to run TV ads across Iowa a few weeks early, even though we didn’t technically have all the money in our budget to do so just yet.

We took this risk because we had to. Whether or not Democrats hold onto our Senate majority is going to be decided here in Iowa, and we won’t stand a chance if we don’t immediately start introducing Mike to more voters before the Super PAC lies start. So I bit the bullet and made the bet that grassroots donors like you would come through and help us fill our $100,000 budget gap…

We need to do everything we can to defeat Grassley and protect our Senate majority. That means taking a few risks.

But if we're going to win and turn Iowa blue, I’m counting on grassroots donors like you to help us raise another $100,000 before midnight tomorrow, close our budget gap, and ensure our new TV ads against Grassley can keep running.

Mike’s not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. Instead he’s relying entirely on people like you during this critical moment: Please, will you rush a donation of $5 or more right now – or whatever you can afford – to keep our ads on the air, help Admiral Mike Franken defeat Chuck Grassley, and protect our Democratic Senate majority?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

There are going to be a lot of hard spending decisions like this between now and November. I hope we can count on you every step of the way.

Thank you for being a critical part of Mike’s campaign,

Julie
