Dear friends,
Next Friday marks the deadline for bills to advance – which means we need all hands on deck to support our priority legislation.
Can you take a moment to email your Assemblymember in support of AB 2097 (ending parking minimums) and AB 2011 (fast-tracking housing on commercial properties)?

As a reminder:
-
AB 2097 will reduce housing costs and slash climate and air pollution by eliminating expensive parking mandates on new homes built near high-quality transit.
-
AB 2011 will fast-track new affordable housing on land zoned for commercial uses, and includes strong provisions for affordability, labor standards, and environmental protection.
Combined, these two bills will make it easier and more affordable to build homes throughout California – taking a bite out of our state’s crushing housing shortage and affordability crisis.
We need to turn up the volume in Sacramento in advance of next Friday’s deadline, so please take a moment to email your Assemblymember in support of these two incredible bills.

Together, we’re going to build a more affordable, equitable, and sustainable California for everyone. That vision starts with us passing these two bills next week.
Gratefully,
Matthew Lewis
