102 years ago, the House of Representatives passed the Nineteenth Amendment, which granted American women the right to vote. This was a watershed moment for our nation – a critical step forward in ensuring equality and justice for all — but we must remember that many women of color were still blocked from the polls.
Our fight for women’s rights is not over. Republicans and the conservative majority on the Supreme Court are determined to turn back the clock and erase our progress. They’re preparing to overturn Roe and strip people of their bodily autonomy – now is the time to fight back.
Women are leading the fight for progress and reproductive freedom in our State Senate. And now we’ve endorsed four strong, pro-choice women in the most competitive seats in our state. We need them to fight for us.
So on this anniversary of the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, will you commit to electing more women to office? Our country needs leaders who will defend our right to vote and protect access to abortion care!
Thanks so much for standing with us.
