Welcome to this week's update from Team Lankford. Here's a quick roundup on what we are up to this past week, what's to come, and how the team is fighting the right way to protect our Oklahoma conservative values. We need to take back the Senate to be the check on Biden's progressive policies.
James Continues to Push Biden to Stop Rising Gas Prices
At a press conference on Wednesday, Lankford said Biden publicly acts as if he wants domestic oil and gas producers to be part of the solution and increase output but privately works to slow their progress. He says they can't have it both ways--gas prices hit a record high this week.
James said this week on his continued fight to protect the border: “Around the country, we’re seeing violent crime like homicide, theft, arson, and vandalism dramatically increase while progressive leaders debate defunding the police. The Biden Administration is failing to address our wide-open border where the cartels smuggle drugs and people into the United States every day."
James Called a Radical for Standing for Life in the Womb!
Last week, James stood unapologetically for life on the Senate floor after the historic leak from the Supreme Court. After James spoke on the floor, a NY Times opinion columnist called him "radical" because he argued that we, as a nation, should protect the life of a child in the womb.
This week is National Police Week, and Team Lankford is thankful to all the men and women in blue who protect and serve our communities. James and Cindy said this week that, "some in our nation wish to defund, dehumanize, and abolish the police. We know that our law enforcement officers in Oklahoma provide more to our communities than what is written in the job description. We will work to ensure they are prayed for, encouraged, and supported not just this week, but every week."
