One of the first things you learn as a lawyer is if you want to win, you have to know how to make a strong case.
As Attorney General, I’ve built strong cases against ExxonMobil and Purdue Pharma. Now, I’m building my case to voters across the state as to why I’d be honored to serve as the next Governor of Massachusetts.
Today, I’m going to make the case for why you should give your first donation to my campaign for Governor. I’ll lay out the facts in a moment but, if you’re short on time, you can chip in $5 right here.
Alright, let’s get into the facts of the case:
Fact #1: I’m running to bring people together and build a Massachusetts where everyone can thrive. I believe that every family deserves a fair shot at a good life – but right now, there are serious obstacles in our way. As Governor, I will tackle the rising cost of living, invest in transit and housing, and make child care affordable for everyone.
Fact #2: I have the experience to take on the challenges facing our families today. As the People’s Lawyer, I listened and learned from people across the state to find out how I could best serve them. Their stories led me to take action against Purdue Pharma for their role in the opioid crisis – and together, we worked to bring justice for our families. I’m not going to change this formula as Governor; you’ll help me decide which challenges we need to confront, then we’ll face them together.
Fact #3: We’re building a statewide movement, meeting voters where they are and listening to what they have to say – but the costs are adding up fast. This is already our biggest campaign yet, and we’re just getting started! We still have to call a ton of voters, send out lots of mail pieces, and knock on thousands of doors. But running these programs costs money; our team is counting on grassroots supporters to help us cover those costs.
