I wanted to show you a couple of photos, and I thought you would like them.

When I was little, my parents instilled the value of hard work and service in my siblings and me.

My Dad would ask the three of us what we planned to do for freedom that day as we hurried through a few bites of breakfast, and my Mom led by example through her work with Planned Parenthood.

When I went off to college, I thought I would become a doctor. I wanted to follow the example of my grandfather, who was a pediatrician. But over the course of my college career, between playing rugby, rowing crew, and meeting the love of my life, Tom, I found myself pulled in another direction – towards social services.

I’m now fortunate enough to have two beautiful children of my own, Ben and Meg. As my husband and I watched our community fully embrace our son Ben, who was born with serious disabilities, I was drawn to public service – to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to succeed as Ben was.

I have the privilege of serving New Hampshire in the United States Senate where I’m focused on making sure families like yours have the tools you need to get ahead and stay ahead.

I’m on the front lines in the fight to protect safe and legal reproductive health care. I’m taking on corporate special interests. And I’m working tooth and nail to lower costs for Granite State families.

I’m also one of the most vulnerable Senators up for reelection. This month Rachel Maddow sounded the alarm saying I "have a difficult reelection fight ahead…" a recent poll shows me down by 2 points, and I won my last race by just 1,017 votes. This means that Mitch McConnell is hell-bent on flipping my seat. Without your help, he just might do it.

I’m asking you personally: Please donate $3 or whatever you can to my campaign so that Democrats can hold control of the Senate and so that I can continue fighting for families like yours. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated.

With every good wish,
