BREAKING — After months of gridlock, the Senate is now negotiating a deal to bring down energy prices amidst Russia's attack on Ukraine.
This is a shot — a real shot — at a transformational climate, jobs, and justice bill. Passing the climate bill is an obvious way to bring down energy costs — all while creating good-paying jobs and a healthy, more just clean energy future.
Here's the catch: realistically, our political window to pass the bill is closing, and we need to see a deal by Memorial Day. The bill has already cleared the House, and we can get this passed with a simple 50-vote majority in the Senate.
Friend, to get this deal passed, we need the entire environmental movement to show up in a big way.
TAKE ACTION: Demand that the Senate make a historic investment in clean energy, green jobs, and environmental justice.
Key senators are working hard to negotiate a deal and pass the largest investment in clean energy, jobs, and justice in our nation's history.
This is when we need leaders who campaigned on addressing the climate crisis to fight and take action that lowers costs for families, creates millions of good-paying jobs, tackles environmental injustices, and secures real energy independence.
We must urge the president and Congress to do
everything possible to meet this moment and secure a deal that puts the U.S. on the path to real energy independence while cutting emissions in half by 2030 and building an equitable, inclusive, and just future for all.
Will you take action now? Submit your letter to the Senate before it's too late. Help us reach 10,000 letters demanding climate action while negotiations heat up.
Thank you for everything that you do.
Onward,
