** Arizona Recognizes Military Appreciation Month
------------------------------------------------------------

PHOENIX — Governor Doug Ducey proclaimed May as Military Appreciation Month to honor the sacrifices of our nation’s military personnel and their dedication to protecting our freedom and keeping Americans safe.

“Arizona is forever grateful for the sacrifices of our military members,” said Governor Ducey. “The soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, guardians, and coast guardsmen, from whom we ask so much, continue to serve and protect our freedom. Our service members chose a life and career of service and they are quintessential heroes. Thank you to all military personnel and their families for your unwavering support and dedication.”

Many former and retired members of the military choose to live in Arizona once they take off the uniform. More than half a million veterans live in the state. Arizona is actively recruiting these highly-skilled heroes to join the state workforce. AZHiresVets!
