My friend Lucy McBath is in a competitive battle to keep her spot in Congress after Georgia Republicans forced her into a contested Democratic primary on May 24th.

Like my own mission, Lucy’s fight for gun safety reform is a deeply personal one. As you know, Lucy’s son Jordan was shot and murdered in 2012. Then, Lucy initially decided to run for Congress after the inadequate response by Congress to the Parkland Shooting.

Right now, Lucy is our Democratic gun safety champion in Congress. But, if she loses her primary in 3 more days, we’d face a huge setback in our longstanding efforts to pass universal background checks, extreme risk laws, and so many more gun reforms that can make our families safer.
