Last month, the Legislature came together in a bipartisan way to pass my budget, and I am proud of all the progress it makes for Maine people.

In addition to the $850 relief checks to help Maine people deal with inflation (one of the strongest measures in the country), I am particularly excited about:

- Delivering Two Years of Free Community College for all students from the high school graduating classes of 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 who enroll in a Maine community college full-time.
- Overhauling Student Loan Debt Repayment Program providing an annual $2,500 -- up to $25,000 -- refundable tax credit benefit for student loan debt relief.
- Increasing Pay for Child Care Workers and Early Childhood Educators to strengthen our child care system across Maine.
- Expanding Children’s Health Insurance to cover an additional 40,000 Maine kids.
- And the list goes on!

In just three years, we have accomplished so much. The work we’re doing today builds on the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve.
