Friend --
Congratulations to the entire slate of People's Alliance PAC
candidates. These candidates ran campaigns to be proud of, focused on
a progressive vision for what our city, state and nation can and
should be.
The candidates that your PA PAC endorsed at a six-hour long
endorsement meeting earlier this year all won in Durham County on
Tuesday. Our school board candidates will take on the work of
directing Durham's schools. Congratulations to Natalie Beyer, Bettina
Umstead, Emily Chavez, Millicent Rogers and Matt Sears.
PA PAC's endorsed candidates for US Senate, District Court Judge,
District Attorney, Clerk of Court, and Sheriff all won their primaries
and will appear on the ballot in November. Congratulations to Cheri
Beasley, Dave Hall, Kevin Jones, Satana Deberry, Aminah Thompson, and
Clarence Birkhead.
While our candidate for Congress, Nida Allam, did not win across
Congressional District 4, she carried Durham County. She ran an
incredible campaign knocking doors, talking about issues that matter
from abortion to climate change, and energized a number of people who
don't often vote. She accomplished this despite being vastly outspent.
We are grateful that she will continue to serve as a Durham County
Commissioner.
Finally, your PA PAC wants to congratulate all of our members.
Whether you supported this progressive slate of candidates with your
vote, by donating money, volunteering at the polls to hand out green
slates, putting out yard signs at polling locations (and picking them
up!), delivering food to poll workers, or serving as a poll worker, PA
PAC and our endorsed candidates could not have done it without you.
From the bottom of our (still somewhat tired) hearts, thank you.
Thank you all and congratulations again.
Sincerely,
Your PA PAC Coordinators, Nana Asante Smith, Rann Bar-On, Yesenia
Polanco, Milo Pyne, and Rochelle Sparko
