*"Were proud to be supporting #SmallBizSatUK @GrowingNottm"*

*Apprenticeship Levy Transfers*

Delivering more high-value apprenticeships in Nottingham will ensure more people gain the skills and training they need to build successful careers and benefit local employers like yours by giving you the skills your business needs, "and" deliver economic growth for local communities.

As a levy-paying employer, the Council can chose to share its apprenticeship levy with any other employers to fund the full cost of training their apprenticeships. We can share up to 25% of the annual value of our levy through a transfer process.

Nottingham City Council wishes to only transfer funds to employers who:

* Commit to paying the appropriate age related National Minimum Wage for all Apprenticeships funded through a transfer this is not the apprentice wage of 3.90. This support the councils ambition to encourage local employers to pay the Real Living Wage
* Engage with City-wide efforts to promote inclusion e.g. finding out about becoming a Disability Confident employer, being LGBT friendly, prioritising and promoting equality by having a policy in place and working with the Nottingham Jobs team to offer work placements to job seekers

Reduce your energybills: N2 Energy Grants

SME businesses like yours are taking steps to improve their energy efficiency with an N2 Energy Grant; over*25 businesses*across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been helped so far, with an average saving per business of between *50 *and *80%*.

Our energy efficiency grants can provide financial support to invest in measures that lead to cost and carbon savings for your business. Businesses have already used our grants to implement projects such as lighting and heating upgrades, insulation and purchasing new machinery.

We can offer eligible businesses grants of up to 16,000 to fund 40% of the cost of installing energy efficiency measures.

To enable you to act with confidence, our energy saving expert will visit your premises to identify the best cost and carbon saving opportunities and provide tailored recommendations for you to take forward.

The N2EG Programme is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund and is delivered by Nottingham City Council. The programme is open to businesses with fewer than 250 employees located in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
