Fellow Conservative, in 2020, Liberals targeted our police, and used their partners in the corporate media to spin a false narrative. They repeatedly called for “defund the police” policies to become mainstream in cities, states, and Congress.

Conservatives stood up and said “No!” Together, we exposed “defund the police” as the marxist movement it is, and stopped a lot of bad legislation.

Sadly, where Liberals failed on policy, they have succeeded with cultural change. They’ve demonized police officers to the point that many cities are struggling to hire new police officers to replace retirees. It’s no surprise that when Left-wing mayors and governors attack an entire profession, impressionable young people turn away from that profession. Culture matters and is often upstream from legislation.

And so, the “defund the police” movement is still a very real threat to America. We can’t continue a culture of contempt for good police officers who put their lives on the line to enforce the law and keep Americans safe.

At Heritage Action, we're fighting back to defend our nation, and today - in honor of police week - we're fighting to defend our law enforcement officers. 

Over the past few years, they've been declared a public enemy by the left, and we've stepped up to remind our men and women in blue that we stand with them. Our police pledge was signed by over 228,000 individuals and 400 lawmakers and candidates and the list is STILL growing.

It's more important than ever before that we stand against mob rule and stand up for local law enforcement. In our local neighborhoods, we need to back the police and maintain a civil society. We also need to stand up for our own rights and the Constitution.
