Friend,

On this day of Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for so many things.

I'm grateful that my life is full of good people--family and friends, neighbors and strangers--who constantly show me how wonderful the world is.

I'm grateful for binge-worthy tv.

I'm grateful that I live in a region of powerful history, storied achievement, and limitless potential.

I'm grateful for sushi and ice cream and stretch bread and honeycrisp apples.

I'm grateful that rescue organizations brought three adorable dogs into my life who greet every day with boundless joy and open hearts.

I'm grateful for fresh out of the dryer pajamas in winter.

I'm grateful to live in America where, with all our imperfections, we continually strive to fulfill our promise as a land of freedom, dignity, and opportunity for all.
And I'm grateful for every one of you and that we are in this together.

I wish you a Thanksgiving day full of joy and love and overflowing gratitude.
